The Dispatch — Terms of Use.

These Terms of Use (the “Terms” or “EULA”) govern your use of The Dispatch, the iOS application published by TNAADO Inc. (“TNAADO”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a corporation organized under the laws of Ontario, Canada. By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms supplement TNAADO’s general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply to your use of the app.

The Dispatch is a news reader for TNAADO’s Toronto newsroom. It carries business- and technology-focused local reporting, a live map of city events and filmed coverage from The Show. Reading is always free and no account is required.

The app offers optional memberships as auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase:

• Supporter — back the newsroom; billed monthly.
• Insider — ad-free reading across the whole app; billed monthly.

The following terms apply to every auto-renewable subscription, in line with Apple’s requirements:

• Title & length. Supporter (monthly) and Insider (monthly). Each subscription is for a one-month period.
• Price. The price is shown in the app before you purchase, in your local currency. Prices may change; we will give notice in line with Apple’s rules and you may decline a change by cancelling.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. We never receive or store your payment details.
• Auto-renewal. Your subscription automatically renews for another one-month period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal charge. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.

A membership is tied to your TNAADO account and, when you sign in with the same account on tnaado.ca, the same benefits (such as ad-free reading) apply there.

You can manage or cancel a subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. You must turn off auto-renewal in your Apple Account settings to stop future charges.

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple. Billing, renewals, refunds and payment disputes are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms; we are unable to issue App Store refunds directly. Refund requests can be made through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

An account is optional and only needed to manage a membership. We offer Sign in with Apple; we receive only the identifier (and email, if you choose to share it) needed to maintain your membership. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app. Deletion permanently removes your account record from our servers.

You agree not to scrape or republish our content at scale without written permission, interfere with the operation or security of the app, or misrepresent an affiliation with TNAADO. You agree to use the app in compliance with all applicable laws.

The articles, video, images, code and design in the app belong to TNAADO or its licensors. You may read, link to and quote our work with attribution. Republication at scale or commercial reuse requires our written permission. “TNAADO” and The Dispatch are marks of TNAADO Inc.

NOTHING IN THE APP IS LEGAL, TAX, ACCOUNTING, FINANCIAL OR INVESTMENT ADVICE. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and its content are provided “as is” and TNAADO disclaims all implied warranties. TNAADO is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

Except as expressly stated here, your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Apple has no responsibility for the app or its content and no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
