Who we are
A media and technology company.
TNAADO Inc. is a media and technology company that serves the Greater Toronto Area with innovative technology solutions, local press features, and community initiatives.
Our roots
Founded by Ethan Daley & Grace Bashall.
Our roots began in business development, behind our team of young creatives is five years spent supporting over 300 local entrepreneurs. We're now channeling all that experience into one mission: empowering Toronto's entrepreneurs through our media platform that tells their story, and practical, innovative tools we've built to support their growth.
Grace Bashall is our Head of Journalism, a Toronto multimedia journalist and a recent graduate of the journalism program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has been published in the Review of Journalism, T-dot, Her Campus and The Dispatch, and she has worked on set at Breakfast Television. She pairs creative storytelling with research-driven reporting, on pop culture, social justice and the human interest stories behind both.
TNAADO is the apparatus that powers it all, our newsroom (The Dispatch and The Show), technology development and consumer applications, community events, and local initiatives.

Why we exist
Toronto's economy runs on #Extraction. We're building the way back.
Value created by small businesses, local journalists and everyday workers keeps getting funnelled out, to distant shareholders, absentee platforms and institutions that answer to no one in the community that generates it. That's #Extraction, and it's the default setting of Toronto's economy today.
We built TNAADO to reverse that flow.
The problem
- Local businesses can't afford visibility while ad spend flows to platforms with no stake in Toronto.
- Independent, local journalism is disappearing, leaving public spending and local leadership with no real watchdog.
- Young Canadian talent leaves for opportunity elsewhere, because the local economy doesn't reinvest in the people building it.
What we're doing about it
- Market Access. Technology giving small and local businesses affordable, direct market access.
- Independent Media. Journalism that holds local and provincial leadership accountable.
- Local Careers. Investing in young Canadian talent and building career paths that keep them here.
This is #Reinvestment, not extraction. We're homegrown, young, and already building measurable traction in the local economy.

The Dispatch is also our reader app on the App Store, mirroring this site's articles, live map and Show. Underneath the articles, two things run all day, every day.

Live public feeds from 511 Ontario, Environment Canada (weather and air quality), the TTC, VIA Rail, the City of Toronto's own road-restrictions feed and Toronto Fire's live dispatch system, refreshed continuously and layered with our own reporting, dated to when each incident actually happened, not when the article about it went up.

The camera on the scene.
There's no public live feed for crime or fire in Toronto, so this closes the gap. Anyone on a scene can go live and put a real pin on the map. When the newsroom picks up the footage, the person who filmed it gets paid, not the view count, which stays hidden on purpose.
Coverage runs by neighbourhood too, not just citywide. Each of the 63 neighbourhoods we cover carries its real boundary from the City of Toronto's own open data, plus its own tagged articles. Our Downtown Core and Liberty Village coverage runs through journalist Grace Bashall, a Toronto Metropolitan University journalism graduate on staff.

Accountable. We pursue hard stories and hold ourselves to the standards we expect of others. Right of reply is mandatory for every critical story.
Independent. Editorial decisions are free from advertiser, sponsor or outside influence. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled.
Transparent. Every fact is verifiable. Errors are corrected openly, no matter how old the story is.
